We won't sell your data
Ever. Because there's... uhh... nothing meaningful to sell? Here's exactly what we touch and what we leave alone.
What we collect
- Sign in with Apple gives you an anonymous account ID. We don't use or store your name or email from Apple.
- Country and time zone help us expand coverage and send service messages at reasonable hours.
- Your Monitor filters are the product: job titles, locations, and rules you configure.
- OS and app version help us keep the app compatible with your device.
- An anonymized device token is stored only when you allow notifications, and only to deliver pushes.
- Pending Requests are companies you've asked us to add to monitoring.
What we don't collect
- Browsing history
- Resume or application data
- Social graph or contacts
- Payment information (handled by Apple)
We only monitor publicly available career pages. We don't access systems that require a login, and we never touch applicant or HR data.
Email address
We do not collect your email address in the app. We only have it if you join the web waitlist or email support@jobping.app directly. In-app help uses support cases inside the app, with no email required. When we do have your email, we delete it when the task is done or on request.
Your control
Our service was designed from the ground up to forget about you if you ask. Single in-app button to delete ALL collected data we have on you when you're done with our service. Think "nuke from orbit". Support cases, and all. The only thing we keep is your Purchase record, tied to an anonymized ID, for 7 years for financial reporting reasons.
Age
Job Ping isn't directed at, or knowingly used by, anyone under 16.
Where your data lives
Job Ping runs on Microsoft Azure, hosted in the United States. That's where your anonymous account ID, Monitor filters, and Pings are stored. If you use Job Ping from outside the US, your data is processed in the US.
The only other services that touch your data: Apple (sign-in and payments), Tally (web waitlist form), and Better Stack (operational logging, hosted in European data centers). Request waitlist deletion via support@jobping.app.
